ABOUT US
Thank you for your interest in the Red Devil Regiment Band & Colorguard!
Funds for band equipment, travel expenses, uniforms and operating expenses are not provided Verbena High School nor by the Chilton County Board of Education. We are soley dependent on revenue from the parking fees at home games, fund raising efforts and the generosity of individuals and businesses.
What is our job?
Our job and purpose is to support these kids, the Band Director and the school.
What do we do?
We are the support system for the Red Devil Regiment Marching Band. We are at each football game to help these kids get musical equipment and the Drum Major's stand on the field and set up for their half time show.
Home games:
At home games we take up money at the gates for parking, we also help guide people during the parking process and make sure that the fire truck and emergency vehicles are property placed for maximum benefit for all.
At home games and away games, we escort the kids, in groups, to the bathrooms as needed.
Every game:
We, as band and colorguard parents, provide waters and snacks for the kids during each and every game. Seeing that being in the band does not require any type of fee, it is expected that each parent pitch in and help with providing waters and snacks. The kids are NOT to go to, nor are parents to bring them food from the concession stand.
Why can't you get your child something from the concession stand? This is not fair for the students whose family does not have enough money to do the same. We are trying to keep the expense down for each and every family while also providing each student with the same great experience of being in the band and enjoying themselves. We greatly appreciate your help in this matter.
