Important Information
BAND STUDENTS:
Be at the High School at 7:15 a.m. Saturday morning, we will leave promptly at 8:00 a.m.
What to bring-
Uniform (if not already at the school)
White Band Shoes
White Socks
Red Transformer T-Shirts
Belts
Hair Pins, etc... (for putting hair up into hats)
What NOT to bring-
Jewelry (IE: Necklaces, Bracelets, Dangling Earings, etc...)
* Earring Studs May Be Worn
PLEASE have uniform cleaned before Friday.
COLORGUARD:
Be at the High School at 7:15 a.m. Saturday morning, we will leave promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Be ready upon arrival at the school
- Hair up an to the side
- Your specific color glitter needs to be applied before arrival
- Hair is to be straight (except for Angel)
What to bring-
Blue jeans
Colorguard T-Shirt
Red Bow
White Tennis Shoes (to be worn for after performance)
Light Jacket (in case of cool weather)
Bring Spending Money (if you may want concessions, competition shirts or any type of souveniers)
PARENTS:
If you plan on attending this event, please read below for information and procedures.
Please plan for and be prepared for an entire day/night long event with your child. If your child suffers from headaches, female problems, on-going medical conditions (IE: asthma, diabetes, dizzy spells, allergies, allergic reactions due to food or environment, etc...) please be prepared with any necessary medications.
Also, please bring enough money for parking ($5.00 for parking and $7.00 for admission to the event as listed below) as well as any spending money your child might need for snacks, etc... The Band Boosters will cover the costs of food during the "dinner break" from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
PARKING: As you come into Troy University from Hwy 231, take George Wallace Drive (turn at the intersection with Sonic Drive-In), straight to TU campus.
SPECIAL NOTE: :Band parents, due to safety issues you will not be able to park with the buses/equipment trucks.
Staff cars and Vans will not be allowed to park in the bus/equipment truck area, so please plan ahead.
Handicap parking is available, police can direct people to that location.
Vehicle/Spectator parking will be located along George Wallace Drive at Charles Henderson HS and the National Guard Armory. Parking is $5.00.
ADMISSION:
$7.00 - 7 yrs. and up
6 yrs. and under – FREE
GREETING AREA: The greeting tent will be set up near the bus parking area, on University Drive. You will receive an information packet with wristbands. All band members, staff, bus drivers and chaperons will need to wear a wrist band. We will receive one ( 1) Chaperon wristband per eight (8) band members. If we will require more wrist bands than we are allotted, please be prepared to purchase them at the gate.
SEATING: All bands will be seated on the press box side of the field. Seating is available on a first-come first-serve basis. If we come early to watch, we will have to have some Chaperons stay in our area while the band leaves to perform to be able to save those seats.
Spectator Seating Area will be located at the stadium club level B or C sections 210 or 212 . Refer to Stadium Chart.

DRESSING AREA: Guides will lead the band to the facility dressing rooms. Please instruct students not to leave anything in the dressing rooms. A staff member or chaperon will be required to go with them to this area.
SERVICES PROVIDED:
• CONCESSIONS – Concessions will be available on the South Concourse, please enjoy!
• INSTRUMENT REPAIR - Mr. Jim Darby, Capitol Music in Montgomery will be located on the south concourse to assist you.
• CARE AMBULANCE will be available if needed.
• PEP WEAR will have t-shirts available for purchase, featuring different instruments, auxiliary groups and school colors.
• CA VIDEO: This company produces a professional video of your performance from several angles. Each director receives a free video. Videos are also available for purchase.
**IMPORTANT** Please remember you are attending a "Concert" not a sporting event. It is expected that all talking and distractions cease during each band performance. ALSO, EVERYONE SHOULD BE SEATED AND NOT MOVING THROUGH THE BLEACHERS OR AISLES DURING THE PERFORMANCES.
* * Special Note: The VIP Hospitality Room is located in the Hospitality Suite above the chair-back club level seating. The Hospitality Suite is a courtesy provided to the directors, director’s spouses, staff and drivers. Students and chaperones will not be permitted to enter the hospitality suite. Only persons weari ng the VIP wristband will be allowed to enter.
Our Band will start our warm up time at 10:45 a.m. in Area "A", performance to start at 11:30 a.m. on the field.
The Award Ceremony will be at 8:15 p.m. following the Troy University Band performance.
